Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her portrayals as the main character in TV programs like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. In addition to her roles in films which include "Private Parts", "Deep Impact", "True Crime" and 1408. McCormack comes from an unrelated family. Her parents are clinical psychotherapist and the owner of an ice cream restaurant. She was a student at Wardlaw-Hartridge School, and following the separation of parents the year 1990 then went on to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and eventually graduated with a bachelor's degree in the field of comparative arts. When she was 12 when she started her acting career in one of the productions of the Christmas opera "Amahl And The Night Visitors". She continued performing in theatres as well as landing roles in films both small and on the large screen. McCormack today is acknowledged as one of the best known and most versatile performers. McCormack is married to director/producer Michael Morris and has three children.
