Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor and a singer. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse and Tom Bell - a television director. She is an American singer and actress. Kristen is of Polish heritage (mother) in addition to German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young age. When she was in 1992, the actress attended her first audition, and was able to win a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up with an agency just before she turned 13; she then appeared in television advertisements as well as newspaper advertisements. Bell also began taking private acting classes at that time. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the both the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the role of Dorothy. Following graduation, Bell relocated into New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts, where she learned about musical theatre. Bell graduated from the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she made her debut on the credit screen as Becky in Pootie Tang. However the film cut her character out of the movie and she only appears as a credit. Bell appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
